Call me sentimental but I can’t resist the sheer beauty of the Kaprov scans. Here is one of Irises. Some are real flowers and some are plastic.

I know I’m a little behind on all of this. It’s only at this moment that it occurred to me that someone could make a great composition by piling objects on a scanner and scanning it.
Huh.
I feel dumb.
But, you’re right… it is really beautiful. I guess you can call this my welcome to the aughties. It only took me 8 years.
I know three artists who scan - Katinka Matson has made a good fist of it commercially. Kevin Kelly of Wired fame was an advocate and i Hear Katinka would get around 20K a piece off the IT illuminati. Beautiful work of course.
