Art Gallery Photos

We run a small art gallery - it allows Roos and I the opportunity to talk with artists and to do our bit to get their work out there. Two things that are beginning to excite me about the gallery. The first is artists and photographers talking about it - Ryan has a long post here with some great photos.

The second is our virtual gallery is nearing completion - in fact the building is ready and the art work is being hung ready for a Jan 24th launch. Here’s a view of the gallery from outside:
Ten Cubed. The design is phenomenal and is down entirely to the inspiration of Benn Dunkley - a really talented New York-based artist.

It’s easy to find yourself in Second Life spaces that emulate real life too closely - block-based buildings don’t work, least I don’t find they work, in SL. Bennet’s design-advantage is the way he motivates behaviour through his designs. The gallery is a place you really want to move through, it makes you want to look.

Here’s one of Jon Coffelt’s pieces: Jon. We’ll be welcoming Jon to GalleryICA in the New Year and launching with him and a few other guys, Nathaniel Stern, Claire Keating and Scott Kildall in particular.
