Normal Life in The Future

It is possible that if the childhood obesity epidemic continues at its current rate, conditions related to type 2 diabetes—such as blindness, amputation, coronary artery disease, stroke, and kidney failure—will become ordinary in middle-aged people.

I picked that up as part of some research I’m doing and mentioned it to Roos - she said well the problem also is we have less and less a sense of who we are and what we believe in.

Hmm - so actually what the future holds is community activism (soon to be a Government policy near you) around the body, our weight. A substitute for belief - fear of the body.
