User Generated Content Gets Market Segmentation

I thought it was interesting to see UGC splitting out and getting kind of branded. Not that YouTube isn’t a strong brand of course but instead of the universal upload bin that is YT people are now using dailylol.com and netmusicmakers.com. I hope the genre is obvious from the titles -Dailylol - user generated comedy (though much of it seems to be uploads of other people’s clips) and netmusicmakers - music. The latter looks to be a great site with a lot of value added by the site owners, in ways YouTube does not. Feels like the recipe for a trend.
