Webjam Launches - MySpace Plus Netvibes on Steroids (Mashable)
Webjam got a bit of a mauling yesterday from Mashable who found it trying to do too many things and mixing its messages.
“a “social media ecosystem” that helps people to “aggregate and share
content with the communities they join”. It took me a long, long time
to figure out what that actually means, but in short it’s a combination
of hosted blogging (like Vox), profile pages (like MySpace), a startpage (like Netvibes) and the ability to create your own web pages with ease.”
What I’ve noticed is my children have moved on from bebo. You might say what’s that go to do with Webjam or Mashable. I mean they used it for around six months and now they’re doing other things. SO my criticism wouldn’t be don’t mix your messages. It would be: move on.

lol, actually we were very pleased with the mashable review because he *got the point* of webjam and indeed compared it with the sites we wanted to be compared to. one of the issues that we were facing (as stated by yann in the mashable comments) is that we are struggling with the message - simply because webjam does so much. obviously this is something we are tailoring and indeed would appreciate any feedback on. up until now, all of our efforts have been concentrating on the launch. have you tried webjam out btw?
cheers
Marcus (co-founder, webjam)
