Is Web Flow a New Emotion?

James Corbett has an interesting post about programmes like Lost somehow echoing the kind of mindset we get into when blogging and surfing. A couple of times here on mediangler I’ve tried addressing the recent failures of TV drama particularly the reduction of drama to dilemma.

I’m biased of course but I think this is the type of discussion that moves our undersanding of content on, whereas discussions about blogging bog us down. It’s asking is our mindset changing?

I managed to get something into the Irish Times about this about 18 months back - sadly it’s behind the subscription wall. I wrote about it for a US online newsletter here.

The raw flow of web based conversations is changing what we want from other media.
