WRIPE Readier

WRIPE is readier than it was, especially for voting. Anybody fancy a trip over there? One of the features that isn’t clear enough from the home page is that you can click through to a section where you’ll find many more stories.

So if you’re on the home page you’ll notice section names like Diet Cast, N-Vision, Travel (perhaps all a bit too discreet?). Click on the section name and you go right now to a digg-like voting panel. I’m hoping for a better rendition of the posts but I think this is a good near-term solution.

I had an e-mail chat yestreday with Mathew Ingram the subject of which was: where does the platform begin and WRIPE end? I am not developing the platform. The demands I place on the platform are probably forcing a lot of thinking in Ted Shelton’s attic. I think of the platform as a printing press. I don’t want to be linotype. Of course there is a more stable long term income from being the printing press in web content but I’ve concluded that I know content much better than technology and I’m hoping that the content will be the attraction.
