Blogging Lite

If it’s a blogging lite week it’s because of the demands of a burgeoning career - as a a publisher. Plenty of people have been there before me I know but I am pretty happy with my first two publishing products.
My Diet Friends is coming along fine. I’m currently planning the full launch just after the new year, in time for the national detox (the international detox even). We’ve picked up a few members and there is usually a handful of people on the site seemingly at all hours. Not bad without publicity. We’ve had to iron out a few technical details and one or two of those are still bothering us. But by this time next week I’ll be putting a note around the newspapers and news websites to give it a little push.
WRIPE meanwhile is quickly overcoming its teething problems and already I can see a way to improve and deepen the product. So thanks to everyone who commented. WRIPE is my main product so right now I’m trying to work out the best way to market it globally, of course. There are the obvious ones - the techcrunch coverage etc, but I think to root the product for a long time it needs a consistent build up
rather than a quick swarm from techcrunch readers.
Again I’d be interested in comments. I’m looking right now at making the home page an area where readers can vote stories to but I’m keen also to keep editorial direction in there as a part of the product.
