cyn.in: A web 2.0 collaborative information management service for the enterprise

Cyn-in is a service that allows teams, companies or communities to manage, organize, store, version, search through, collaborate & discuss upon, share and publish any kind of information or data.

It was pre-released to bloggers on 19th September and launches officially today.

Cyn.in is a Cynapse product and cynapse is colocated in Wilmington Delaware and Mumbai, India.

I’m sure products like Cyn.in are substantial improvements in how people deal with information in an organised way but how many people feel like me - I like to be slightly disorganised and I value the flow that comes with Web 2.0.

As soon as I see structure I start to think Microsoft and old fashioned uses of the PC. Web 2.0 to me is a liberation and I would find it hard to be told I have to go back into any kind of silo.

Could be an unfair appraisal of Cyn.in. I tracked through the blogs of the guys developing it and they seem like cool characters, a bit West Coast infuenced of course. I’d be interested in other views.
