It’s a great idea and one that should feed off all the book exchange going on out in the physical world. My first impression though is that bookrevyoo is stuck in the technology area and stuck in what will come to be seen as the web 2.0 time warp.

Recommended books are: Secrets of Videblogging, Pocasting Secrets, Pragmatic Ajax….

I take heart when looking at sites like this simply to remind myself that in the next generation of the Web sites like this are going to be like the town bookstore. While the real world has already been bought up by branded retailers there’s scope on the web to reinject personal values into trade.

Right now the owners of bookrevyoo don’t seem to have grasped that - pushing the onus onto users to make the site work (it’s becoming a web habit). Get round that attitude and it could become a great resource.
