I Don’t Want Dowry - A Top People’s Web Site

We Dont’t Want Dowry is an Indian site that brings together people who are looking for marriage but don’t want to involve themselves in traditional dowry arrangements.
The site owners say their aim is eventually “to eradicate the Dowry system which is a thousand years old setback in the society.” I Don’t Want Dowry is a free site. Great to see how otehr cultures are adapting new technology to help solve old problems.
I got to the site through Webyantra.net, a great site for a look into Indian web 2.0 developments.

Haydn,
Thanks for blogginng this post. Your blog has an excellent collection of Web2.0 related posts; in fact specific to European web2.0.
I follow blogs that focus on US Web2.0, Chinese Web2.0; I myself write about Indian Web2.0; your blog looks an excellent place to follow European Web2.0 trends.
