Content Categories

I was trying yesterday to outline the types of content that are emerging and managed to forget perhaps the most important - IPTV channels. Narrowstep is a good example.

I also left out live performance. Fabchannel might be regarded as the better venue version of live performance but live performance as social networks are also emerging.

As I’m travelling today I don’t have time to update the list but will get round to it. I think we’re misfocusing by thinking of Web 2.0 as the main domain of activity or as the decisive software/development environment. The revolution is in content.

We think that food, wine and lifestyle - independently produced - is a real category that’s going to take off. Take a look at http://www.TasteTV.com (the indie Food Channel).

Took a look - and I agree. Great site. I’ll be blogging it next.
